Thanks for stopping by, and good to meet you. My name is Ellis. I’m a 30 year old bloke from Perth, Australia. By day, I am an aviation journalist with Flightglobal, writing about things that fly, and how they get the money to make them fly.
And I am about to be a rank amateur dad.
But it seems that I’m in good company – nobody embarking on the journey of being a parent is a professional. Sure, there are things that you can equip yourself with, get lots of good advice, and pick up a few tips, but if we’re honest, most of us are making it up as we go along.
So what’s this blog about?
A few things really. It’s a bit of a creative outlet for me to write about my own experiences, life, family and all of that. A lot of it will be chronicling my experiences as a new dad, learning on the job and being honest about it.
I’d love this blog to start off many conversations among blokes about fatherhood, and maybe down the track creating a community where new dads can learn from those more experienced, and helping to equip the other amateur dads out there.
For now though, thanks for stopping by!
